About
Xynatech was founded by engineer Pierson Kang and business partner Jim Redd. Together they built a company that has driven flexible die technology forward for over five decades — inventing the processes the industry now takes for granted, and continuing to push further.
History of Firsts
Xynatech's history is a series of inventions that the industry adopted only after dismissing them. The dates below are when the work was done — not when the industry caught up.
The Leaders
Pierson Kang and Jim Redd founded Xynatech with a simple conviction: that better engineering produces better dies. Kang brought the technical invention — multiple patents, proprietary processes, a deep understanding of how dies are made and why they fail. Redd brought the business discipline to build a company around it.
Over fifty years, that combination has produced a track record no competitor has matched. The technologies Xynatech introduced — the magnetic cylinder, the etched flexible die, the pressure cutting process — are now the foundation the industry operates on.
Xynatech has never needed a large sales team because the product speaks for itself. Every inquiry is shared with Pierson — he assesses each project and ensures you get the right answer.
"They didn't believe the magnetic cylinder would work either. The companies that recognized it early built significant advantages on the back of that technology."
